Awakening You: into the New Era!

Nov.2. 2018

In the prophetic word for 5779, I said: ‘Aslan is on the move’!!
Aslan is the Lion King from the Chronicles of Nania, a fable that has a Lion King taking back His Kingdom from a wicked witch, vying for the sons of men.
Since then, I’ve heard 2 more prophets speak of it!

Aslan was the King of Nania who began to walk into His lost Kingdom and demonstrate His presence in Nania again!
It meant the barrenness of a long winter was over, for at His presence everything came to life!!

Jesus our King, has begun to make His manifest presence felt, all across the globe!!
We have entered a New Era and it means the barrenness of our long winter is over! SoS. 2:11!!

Sun of Righteousness Rising
There has been a dawning of the new day.
Before the new day it takes awhile for the sun to come up.
We prophesied it was coming, but now I feel not only has the day dawned, we are beginning to see in colour and the sun has very definitely come up over the horizon and the presence of the sun is being seen and felt in the new day.
As such, we are seeing like we have never seen before and prophetically we are coming alive! The Sun of righteousness is rising with healing in his wings. We will begin to experience healings like never before!
And we are seeing harvest, as righteousness is being released and people encounter Jesus and choose him.
I believe the momentum of a movement is building. It is a movement of the people of God releasing the life of the Father, the salvation of the Son and the power of the Holy Spirit to be felt across the nations.
The moment of awakening is here!

How do we Awaken to Life & Rise into this New Era?
In Luke 2, Jesus was baptised and filled with the Holy Spirit! Scripture says, He rose in the fullness of the Spirit. It was the presence of God with Jesus!
Jesus was then taken into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit to be tested and after 40 days He came out in the power of the Holy Spirit!!

Likewise we see the children of Israel, go through a baptism of the Red Sea and then come into a place where God revealed His presence to them.
He then gave them the commandments and set His presence among them in the Tabernacle and He went with them everywhere they went!

They eventually came out of the wilderness 40yrs. later, with the power to defeat their enemies and establish themselves in their promised land.

However, in the wilderness, both Jesus and the children of Israel went through a series of testings to bring them into their identity, and faith to establish their destiny!!

I believe, it is the same for each one of us.
We need to go through a baptism, a death to ourselves!
We must then establish the intimacy of the knowledge of the Holy Spirit and His manifest presence with us.
We must also experience some testings, to establish that we know who we are and whose we are so that we can operate in the power of the Holy with us!!

1.Knowledge of the Intimacy of HIs Presence with us.
Whose we are?

Jesus Awakening us into His Promised Destiny
Jesus after his baptism, was full of the Holy Spirit!
From the Jordan (to descend), the place of his baptism & death to self, Jesus was equipped with the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
The presence of the Spirit was with him! He was in the fullness of the Spirit!

Likewise after the crossing of the Jordan, a picture of baptism and deliverance, the Israelites had the presence of the Holy Spirit with them. They had the cloud by day and the fire by night. However, in Ex.33, Moses begged the Lord that His manifest presence accompany them as they set out through the wilderness!!
They were to learn to walk closely with His presence, allowing the cloud by day and the fire by night and the lifestyle of worship & sacrifice (for us worship & prayer) to be set as their culture.
It was a process of becoming a demonstration of their identity upon the earth!

We too, in the church are in preparation for the demonstration of who we really are – the fulfilling of our destiny here on earth.
The presence of the Lion of the tribe of Judah is among us!!
When God’s presence is among us, the enemy can no longer keep his hold on us and our circumstance.
The enemy must give way at the presence of the Lord!!

James Goll said in a recent e-mail. God said to him:
”I’m going to teach you to release the highest weapon of spiritual warfare.” But finally He added, “I will teach you to release the brilliance of My great presence.”

Exodus 33:14-16:
“And He said, ‘My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.’ Then he [Moses] said to Him, ‘If Thy presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here. For how then can it be known that I have found favour in Thy sight, I and Thy people? Is it not by Thy going with us, so that we, I and Thy people, may be distinguished from all the other people who are upon the face of the earth?'” (Emphasis mine)

This is a key of great authority in God’s Kingdom. The presence of God is the distinguishing characteristic that proves we have favour with God! Without it, we are as other men. The glory of God is “the manifested presence of God,” the visible evidence that the person of God, Himself, has shown up among us—and that is the greatest thing in life! I believe Moses was crying out to the Lord of Hosts, “Oh, Great One, do not take us up from here unless You go before us. Put the brilliance of Your great presence upon us.”

God is ensuring we live and move and have our being in Jesus and that we move not just in the power of the HS in us , but with the manifest presence of the Spirit around us.
That we carry his presence and change atmospheres that we enter is part of living in this new era and bringing the Kingdom of Heaven and the glory of God in the earth!!

If we live from His presence, from heaven to earth, we will display the knowledge of His glory on the earth!!

2. Wilderness Testings to activate His Power through us!
Who we are!!

When we follow the Holy Spirit he takes us out of the old and into the new, but its by way of the wilderness and testing!!

Without it, we bring the old us, into the new, and then it is just not new anymore!!
You have to leave the old you in the wilderness to flourish in the new that God has promised!!

God’s promises and pushing forward to move into them, will not only test you, but create a new capacity for faith.
We are choosing to awaken & rise into the blessings associated with our promise!

The old has to be severed and left in the wilderness so that we can pick up the new promises and start fresh!!
Even Jesus had to find his way into the new through a series of tests in the wilderness – its just the way of the Kingdom!!

In the wilderness, the Israelites also encountered Testing.
It’s actually God he allowing testing to establish that the old is really gone, so that we can now move forward into the new and maintain the new.
Its the process of establishing the new in us!
We have to know in ourselves that we are ready and we have shifted into being someone new and we now know how to maintain the new.

The Tests:
Luke 4:1
Jesus Tested in the Wilderness
4 1–2 From the moment of his baptism, Jesus was overflowing with the Holy Spirit. He was taken by the Spirit from the Jordan into the lonely wilderness of Judea to experience the ordeal of testing by the accuser for forty days.
He ate no food during this time and ended his forty-day fast very hungry.

3 It was then the devil said to him, “If you are really the Son of God, command this stone to turn into a loaf of bread for you.”
4 Jesus replied, “I will not! For it is written in the Scriptures,[f] ‘Life does not come only from eating bread but from God. Life flows from every revelation from his mouth.’”

5 The devil lifted Jesus high into the sky and in a flash showed him all the kingdoms and regions of the world.
6–7 The devil then said to Jesus, “All of this, with all its power, authority, and splendor, is mine to give to whomever I wish. Just do one thing and you will have it all. Simply bow down to worship me and it will be yours! You will possess everything!”
8 Jesus rebuked him and said, “Satan, get behind me! For it is written in the Scriptures, ‘Only one is worthy of your adoration. You will worship before the Lord your God and love him supremely.’”

9 Next, the devil took Jesus to Jerusalem and set him on the highest point of the temple and tempted him there, saying, “If you really are the Son of God, jump down in front of all the people. 10–11 For it is written in the Scriptures, ‘God has given his angels instructions to protect you from harm. For the hands of angels will hold you up and keep you from hurting even one foot on a stone.’”
12 Jesus replied, “It is also written in the Scriptures, ‘How dare you provoke the Lord your God!’”

13 That finished the devil’s harassment for the time being. So he stood off at a distance, retreating until the time came to return and tempt Jesus again.

These tests can be broken up many ways and in many categories:
body, soul, spirit; faith hope love, current, future, eternity; mind will emotions; flesh, the world and the devil! Identity, Destiny, Eternity!!

All these are legitimate interpretations and are tests for us that we have to overcome to move ahead into the next level of authority and power that God has for us. For this to happen we must understand and pass the tests.

Do I know who I am?, Do I know what I’m called to and will I endure what it takes to get there?, Can I trust the one who calls me with my life and journey into it??

We see Jesus finish the tests, come out of the wilderness in power and the first thing he does is proclaim who he is and what he is called to do and before long, demonstrate his power to do it!!

1.) Identity – I am a child of God & He loves Me!
Test : Do I know who I am?
Jesus demonstrated that He knew without a shadow of doubt, that He was the Son of God and God cared for him, regardless of the setting and situation he found himself in. He was pushed on this point many times by the religious leaders. In the wilderness He was tested on it , before He went into public ministry.

We cannot move into this new era without really knowing and being convinced of the love of the Father for us and that we are his child!!
The Father has pressed this point for many years. He has been teaching us, his people, that we are loved and we have been adopted and the spirit of sonship is on us and He cares for us and everything that is His, is ours.
Regardless of how things look in the natural, will we continue to trust God and believe that He loves us!!

Jesus perceived this taunt was from the enemy and was quick to resist.
We will only rightly perceive the lie, if we don’t believe it.
If there is anything in us that believes it, we will not be quick to defeat it, nor will we know the scripture to defeat it!
Like Jesus, if we have the word of God alive in us, we are able to recognise the temptation and we are able to really use it & resist the enemy!!
Our knowledge and agreement with the Word will be the difference between being overcomers and those who are defeated in this New Era!

The overcomes will be able to tell you what word they used to push back the evil one!!
You have to have the word alive and active in you so that when the evil one comes at you – you have the word of the Lord in you to use!!

Bread alone will not satisfy, I find true life in every word that is spoken from God’s mouth.

2.) Destiny – Do I Know why I am called to Destiny! –
Test : Do I Know I’m destined to give Him Glory?

Satan questioned Jesus on who He was going to serve by questioning His destiny??
Jesus destiny was to inherit the Kingdoms of this world for the glory of God!!

As we read the gospels, Jesus aim in his life was to bring God glory.
God calls us into a destiny with the same aim, to give Him glory!!
Jesus was passionate that God receive the glory due His name!!
I believe that this intense love for God and passion for Him to receive the glory He is due, must also be our passion.
So the enemy offers Jesus the easy way out. Just bow to me!!

Jesus knew His destiny, and perhaps a little of what it meant to inherit it!! This was a major temptation!! It was a quick, easy way through!!
However, Jesus was quick to resist because His passion was to love God first and ensure God received the glory due His name!! that must be our motivation!

Likewise the children of Israel were called to represent God upon the earth and reveal HIs glory and goodness to the world.
They encountered God on Mt. Sinai and saw His glory, but the process of waiting for the 10 commandments and not knowing what was happening, caused them to turn aside and take the easy way out !! We’ll just make a golden calf instead and call it our God!!!
It’s the easy way through when we are waiting, without knowing what’s happening!!
We must stay passionate in the love of the Father and be careful not to loose faith!!

It seems often when we get a glimpse of the next opportunity to move into the destiny call on our lives, often the enemy is there offering us a seemingly sure way or the easy way through, but it often comes with a compromise.
We must resist the compromise! It will be easy, we know God and love Him and make our greatest desire, ike Jesus to give him the glory due his name!!

We say as Jesus said, “Go away, enemy!
I kneel before the Lord my God and worship only him. Jesus we trust you with our whole heart!

3)Eternity – Can I trust God with my life!!
Test: Do I know and trust Whose I am, with my life?

Here the devil is tempting Jesus to take his life into his own hands declaring that God will save him.
Sometimes, we are tempted to be presumptuous because hey! God will look after us!!

It is a very cleaver temptation by the enemy. He makes it look like we would be really trusting God by taking our lives into our own hands and doing something that looks radical because of our faith. We see many fall into that trap, its easy to do.

What is radical is to say, God, I refuse to take my life into my own hands, regardless of the predicament I am in.
If Jesus didn’t throw himself down, where was he left? – up on a high pinnacle with the devil!!
It was Jesus answer that got him out of the jam. The devil left when He said, ‘Im not obeying you! I’m trusting God with my life!! I won’t be presumptuous with my life and do things my way, regardless of how things look!!’
Jesus told the Devil, thats not God’s way, I’m not telling God what to do for me!!

These tests are not small tests.
Here the enemy is again questioning Jesus on his identity telling him to prove himself!!
Many of us have been in testings that are provings! – can we trust God with our life and our eternity?
Can we put our very existence into Jesus hands and be sure everything will be ok?
If we put our lives in God’s hands, will we be throw down by the enemy, or do we have the courage to take up our own authority against him and declare – I’m not putting God to the test, I’m not putting my life in your hands, I’m believing God for my very existence, not you!!

It was the same test for Israel. Will you go the next step with me and cross into the promised land or will you take your life into your own hands and then presume upon me to look after you, while you take charge and do it your way?

They had to learn and know they were set apart as God’s children and He would look after them and feed them. (Elim & Rephadim) They had to know they had a destiny to show the world that they were a nation and their God walked with them and was the one true God? (Mt.Sinai) And they had to be able to trust Him and know He was able to look after them regardless of the situation and what they were called to. ( The promised land)
Unfortunately on this they failed!
They failed to trust and believe God to overcome through them, something that was impossible for them!!
This is the test that I see many of us fail. When we fail this test we have to take all 3 again, because we must re-establish these truths in us.
We must be established in God’s love and call on our lives, so that we can trust Him, and our faith increase to overcome!!

This is the real fight!! A fight into faith!! Knowing God as a good Father and trusting and having faith that He can do what He says He can do!!! The fight is to believe that with God all things are possible. It is a fight into faith!

I will not test God by doubting who I am and whose I am, and I will trust him with my life!!

The Breakthrough: (Todd Bentley)
8 Strategic Keys to Breakthrough in Your Life!

1.Persistent prayer. Grace works in persistent prayer! Spiritual breakthroughs come to those who persevere before the throne of grace in faith. Have you tried breakthrough prayer as a collective body?

Before breakthrough takes place, we need supernatural perspective. When the supernatural wisdom of God begins to flow from the dimension of Heaven to your spirit, the Holy Spirit gives your mind the revelation of the truth.

Spiritual maturity is developed as we learn how to persevere and persist, anchored on God’s Word, even when our natural circumstances show absolutely no signs of improvement. You become the greatest catalyst of breakthrough when you learn how to hear what God is saying and pray these eternal realities over the present conditions.

2. Worship. 1 Samuel 1:19, “And they rose up in the morning early, and WORSHIPED before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her” (emphasis mine).

3. Decree. “You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways” (Job 22:28 NASB). Are you in need of a breakthrough? A prophetic decree is an authoritative “now” word that unlocks the supernatural and causes a shift to take place. When we decree something, we are making a declaration that has the weight of Kingdom authority behind it.

4. Obedience—it is key. Jericho and the walls coming down required obedience. God gave directions to Joshua—they were not suggestions, they were His commandments. Their victory was totally reliant upon their obedience.

5. Shout! Praise is faith expressing itself audibly. Faith has a voice. Faith calls those things which be not, as though they were, and those things that be, as though they were not. Faith hears God say, “It’s done,” sees God make it so, and shouts because it believes it’s done! Paul and Silas’ prayer and praise caused tremors in the realms of darkness. Suddenly, a violent earthquake shook the building, and the doors were opened (see Acts 16:26).

6. Change your perspective. This requires seeing the invisible. Faith is about “things we do not see.” There are many ways of seeing or looking at something, but what matters is how God sees things. Sometimes we need to “change our approach to the battle.” Faith may be outworked in different ways!

7. Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving builds our faith, and that faith sustains us while we continue to believe for the complete miracle—for ourselves and for others. Focusing on what God is doing causes us to be thankful.

8. Hearing God. The voice of God is the master key to your supernatural breakthrough. Hear it and speak it. Agree with the decree.
If you TRULY want to create a breakthrough in your life, take consistent and persistent steps daily to your dreams or goals! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Tests create Testimonies!!
I believe God is looking to create testimonies so that he has a people who are a witness in the earth for him!
Like Heidi Baker, we are to stop for the one and pray that our breakthrough now becomes theirs too!!I believe that this will be the way to the harvest being reaped!!

God is taking us through the wilderness, so that we rise up and overcome and fight the fight of faith for victory over the enemy!!
Fight with scriptures that not only declare who you are in God, but declare who God is for you!!

I will not back down.
I resist the enemy and he must flee!!
Greater is He who is in me, than He who is in the world!!
I awaken and release the resurrection power in me, and live in the fullness of life in Christ!!!
